Research

Julia’s research has been focused on helping to develop the TetherChip technology to capture live CTCs from mouse models and patient blood samples post-isolation for downstream analysis. Currently, she has been working on several projects related to heterotypic and homotypic CTC clustering as well as helping to develop a zebrafish metastasis model system. Previously, Julia was a research specialist with the Martin and Vitolo labs, where she has developed a number of techniques.

Hobbies

Outside of the lab, Julia spends most her time spoiling her golden retriever puppy and lionhead bunny. She also loves to cook and go surfing at the beach.
